Patricia M. Kovalick

Patricia "Pat" M. Kovalick, 72, of Beaver Meadows, Pennsylvania, passed away at her home on Friday evening, April 25th, 2008. She was surrounded by her family and granddaughter Ashley.

Born in Hazleton on December 21st, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Mary (Murray) Conaker.

Pat was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Beaver Meadows.

She was a graduate of the Hazleton General Hospital School of Nursing and had worked as a registered nurse at the Carbon County Home in Laurytown and at Hilltop Manor in Hazleton.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed baking for family and friends, crossword puzzles, and Sudoku.

Pat is survived by her husband of 48 years, Francis B. Kovalick; sons Francis Jr. of Baltimore, MD and Michael S. of Bradenton, FL; daughter Mary Frances and her husband Michael Appel of Weatherly, PA; sister Sally Goida of Drums, PA; and grandchildren Ashley, Alex, Kennedy, Ben, Kate, and Harley Kovalick. Nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Services will be from the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street, Weatherly, on Tuesday, April 29th, 2008, at 9:30 AM. Rev. James Demko will conduct The Divine Liturgy with Office of Christian Burial at SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Beaver Meadows at 10:00 AM.

Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
