Edward N. "Rebel" Hacker, 67, of Weatherly, died at his home on Monday, November 19th, 2007.
Born in Richwood, West Virginia, on May 28th, 1940, he was the son of the late Cecil and Emmlea (nee Singleton) Hacker.
He graduated from Richwood, West Virginia High in 1958 and was a member of the former Carbon County Civil Defense and A.R.E.A. Team of Weatherly.
Before retiring, Edward worked at Wal-Mart in Hazleton. He also worked at Montone Trailers and Highway Trailers of Hazleton and Mack Truck in Macungie.
Edward is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jean Anne (nee Smith) Hacker; son Dwayne Hacker and his wife Connie of Tamaqua; sister Coleen Motsko of Catasaqua; brothers Wayne and Kenneth Hacker of Richwood, West Virginia; and two grandsons, Kyle Robert and Shane Edward Hacker. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be at the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street, Weatherly, PA, on Wednesday, November 28th, 2007, at 8:00 PM.
Friends may call from 6:00 PM until the time of the services at the funeral home.
Edward's final resting place will be in West Virginia and will be held at the convenience of the family.
